Friday Finds
A little ongoing series where I roundup some pieces that have caught my eye during the week.
This linen jacket has been occupying a lot of space in my mind this week. I love linen, I love button detailing, I love relaxed and flowing silhouettes; so really what is there not to love?
But what particularly caught my eye with this jacket (although I would probably treat it as more of a shirt) was the neckline. It is such a clean and simple yet chic cut, adding so much to the overall look.
This is a great statement (yet neutral) bracelet for Spring/Summer styling. The oversized silhouette is perfectly balanced with the rich neutral tones, making for a perfect addition to your collection.
This suede blouse felt reminiscent of the beloved Altuzarra and Róhe funnel-neck suede jackets. This is one of the most unique pieces I’ve seen on the high street in a long time, if not ever. While suede and high-necks are nothing new (especially right now), something about this just feels very special to me. Maybe because it is a more unique, statement piece that still feels very suited to my minimal self.
This is exactly the sort of piece that I can see myself wearing to fashion week. I think it could be styled in so many chic ways, where the blouse does all of the talking.
As we are moving into Spring and the conversations surrounding 90s minimalism and CBK are only getting louder, I am predicting a big return of the flippy midi skirt (probably not it’s technical term but it’s how Lorelai Gilmore described them so I’m going with it). While these styles have been circulating for a couple of years, especially with the love for the Cou Cou Intimates pointelle skirts (seen on Zoë Kravitz last summer), I think we could be witnessing a slight move away from the more structured Miu Miu-esque pencil styles and more towards this flowy 90s style. They could even potentially be the ‘it’ item of SS26.
This is another high street piece that feels really unique and far more high-end than you are used to seeing. The high neck, combined with the cinched waist, creates a really chic, structured silhouette.
I think this would be the perfect shirt to elevate a pair of jeans or to pair with a midi column skirt, adding a bit more of a masculine feel to a more feminine look.
It’s the time of year where summer dresses really start catching my eye ( Emily Grady Dodge’s ‘Skipping to Summer’ post has made me especially excited for summer dressing.)
This white cotton maxi dress is exactly the sort of piece I live in on holiday, it is simple, chic and easy to style (just pair it with a raffia bag and some leather flip flops and you’re ready to go).
I’ve found myself increasingly drawn towards utility-inspired trousers recently. I say ‘utility-inspired’ because I don’t really go for the full on, all bells-and-whistle cargo styles with a lot of pockets and extra details. I like a simple style with some minimal utility-esque details thrown in.
This pair achieves exactly that, it has the utility feel without being overly detailed.
These kitten-heel sandals are perfect for any summer wardrobe. They will go with pretty much anything and everything you will wear this Spring/Summer.
I recently said that I feel the most ‘me’ in an oversized shirt. It’s one of those pieces that I just love wearing, so it is safe to say that I am really excited for spring so that I can start wearing them on their own again, instead of having to layer them under jumpers.
What really caught my eye about this shirt was the vibrant blue shade, a colour that I personally really love, especially for Spring/Summer.
Another unique shirt (clearly that is my theme for this week), this time featuring an asymmetric neckline that not only grabs attention but also looks really flattering.
And another.
This longline linen-blend shirt is great for Spring/Summer and I really think it is styled perfectly above. This is exactly the sort of outfit I want to be wearing this summer.
Getting a little bit more realistic with what I will be wearing for the foreseeable future with this lightweight track jacket. I highlighted vintage-inspired athleisure in my ‘2026 Trend Predictions’ post earlier this year and I think that this would be a great way to play with this trend within a more minimalist wardrobe.
This blouse has a really interesting shape to it, it feels like the shirt-equivalent of a barrel-leg to me, and I’m not sure I’ve seen anything similar on the high street before.
While it is the shape that adds so much interest to the top, I would actually continue with my barrel-leg analogy and style it in a similar way, sizing up a couple of sizes to soften that shape slightly, making it a bit more relaxed and free flowing while still maintaining that signature curvature.
